Data minimization
FortiPanel aims to process only the data required to provide security, management and support functionality. Product integrations should avoid collecting content that is not necessary for the security purpose.
Purpose & access
Access to customer information should be tied to a defined operational, security or support purpose. Tenant-scoped controls help prevent information from being shown outside the intended organization context.
Retention
Retention depends on the dataset, product function and customer configuration. Where FortiPanel exposes a retention setting, the organization remains responsible for choosing a period that fits its legal and contractual requirements.
Subprocessors & suppliers
Supplier and subprocessor relationships should be reviewed for security, processing role, contractual safeguards and data location. FortiPanel’s Assurance features can help customers maintain this evidence for their own environment.
